Uproarious variety show packs dazzling illusions, raunchy comedy, and dark shocks into one rapid-fire package.

Recently, VEGAS 411 told you about David Copperfield's visit to LATE NIGHT MAGIC. After taking bows for his own performance at MGM Grand, the revered magician headed to Alexis Park Resort to see what up-and-coming colleagues bring to the stage. That inspired yours truly to follow Copperfield's lead, and I'm certainly glad that I did.

LATE NIGHT MAGIC is a potpourri of laughs, cringe-inducing freakshow stunts, and jaw-dropping magic acts. A rotating roster of guest entertainers shares the spotlight with a cast of regulars: sideshow performer John Shaw, mentalist/hypnotist AnnaRose, silent jester Bizarro, and Prince lookalike MonDre

The show's host Doug "Lefty" Leferovich is best known as a sidekick to America's Got Talent finalist Murray Sawchuck, but LATE NIGHT MAGIC allows the veteran entertainer an opportunity to truly shine. Card tricks are his specialty, but Lefty's deck does more than fly between his fingers...it sails through the air. Leferovich was recently honored as Magician of the Year by the Society of American Magicians

Blood-curdling entertainer John Shaw (below) is familiar to fans of Zac Bagan's Haunted Museum. A "Satanic consultant" for Travel Channel's GHOST ADVENTURES, he's also the founder of Underworld Entertainment and has been a featured guest on Pawn Stars, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and The Late Late Show with James Corden. So what does John Shaw bring to Late Night Magic? Well, let's start with a power drill, a pair of chains with hooks at the end, a paint can....and a whole lot of screams from the audience.

AnnaRose is a go-for-broke mentalist and hypnotist. Armed with a broken beer bottle in one hand and a Home Depot spotlight in the other, the lingerie-clad entertainer will pry into your mind. Once inside, she will influence your thoughts and fill your brain cells with a series of bad jokes and double entendres. Close your eyes and let it happen. Just keep your hand out of the paper bag.

If the talkative aspects of mentalism aren't for you, then "Optical Illusionist" Bizarro may be more your cup of tea. Fast-faced and completely wordless, the pony-tailed imp will leave you breathless. Watch in astonishment as a tiny little ball replicates before your eyes, becoming two, then three before growing in size. A bright red apple laced with razor blades turns into a cringe-inducing feast. But don't worry....one strand of dental floss later and the entire meal is ejected. Yes, really...

This writer's favorite act of the evening was reserved for last. Mysterious and elegant MonDre leans on a more traditional style of magic performance. yet delivers his illusions with unforgettable panache. Flirting with light, color, and movement, MonDre has more than a few tricks up his sleeve...including a flock of doves and one very large white cat.

LATE NIGHT MAGIC was created by Doug Leferovich and magician Michael Mayfield as an alternative to family-oriented magic shows. They felt that the dark, taboo origins of the art were being forgotten in favor of a mass audience. As Leferovich tells it "We knew we wanted it to be a late-night show so the acts could cater to adults. Second, we wanted to feature multiple magicians that are experts in their particular fields, like comedy magic, sideshow shenanigans, mind-blowing mentalism, and unique manipulation.”

Recent guests have included Rudy Coby ("The Coolest Magician On Planet Earth"), international star Santiago Michel, and Cirque du Soleil alumnus Hollie England. And there will be many more in the weeks and months ahead.  "Since Vegas is known as the Magic Capital of the World, we wanted the ability to rotate acts periodically to keep the show fresh, " Doug added, "so tourists returning to Vegas will see something new when they come back to this show."
